Downriver Economic Redevelopment Planning Assistance Project

In 2022, the Downriver Community Conference (DCC) received an Economic Development and Planning Grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA).  The purpose of the grant is to create an economic development plan for the Jefferson Avenue Corridor/Detroit Riverfront communities of River Rouge, Ecorse, Wyandotte, Riverview, and Trenton.  These communities were chosen because of their location between two recently decommissioned DTE coal-fired power plants. 911 Consolidation Feasibility Study

In response to the rapidly changing 911 environment sweeping the country and technical advancements,
Downriver Mutual Aid (DMA) officials engaged Mission Critical Partners, LLC (MCP) to evaluate if
consolidating 12 public safety answering points (PSAPs) within DMA in some form of regionalization was
feasible and could improve emergency response outcomes in the region.
